Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium offers something for everyone, with a focus on conservation and education. The zoo has a wide variety of exhibits, including Gorilla Forest, which is the only indoor exhibit of its kind in the Midwest. The aquarium has more than 900,000 gallons of water and features more than 1,500 fish and invertebrates from around the world.

Admission and Ticket Rates

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium offers several admission options for visitors to enjoy the animals and exhibits. The most popular option is the general admission ticket, which gives access to the zoo, as well as the aquarium. The zoo offers a variety of other ticket options, such as family tickets that include two adults and up to four children, or individual tickets that allow one entry per person. All admissions can be purchased online or at the front gate of the zoo.

There are also a variety of Annual Passes available at the zoo, which give access to all three attractions (zoo, aquarium, and world-class botanical garden) for one year.

The most popular option is the Gold Annual Pass, which allows Unlimited visits for one year with no blackout dates. Other options include Silver Annual Pass (3 visits), Bronze Annual Pass (2 visits), and Digital Annual Pass (1 visit).

For those who want to visit more than once in a year, there are also Multi-Day Tickets available that allow unlimited visits on consecutive days within one calendar year. These tickets must be used within 90 days of purchase, and can only be used at the zoo. Finally, there are also Group Tickets available for groups of 15 or more people that allow access to the zoo on the same day.


The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The zoo closes at 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $16.99 for ages 10-59,  $11.99 for 60+, $11.99 for children ages 3-9, and free for children 2 and under. Parking is $5 per vehicle.
